About The Job
As the HR Manager (Acting Head of People), you will work directly with the CEO to enhance Uplive's culture and strengthen our people capabilities to achieve the company vision. You will own the end-to-end employee journey, from recruitment to onboarding, training, retaining, and even offboarding, ensuring that Uplive attracts and retains top talent. The ideal candidate will have experience working in fast-paced cultures, particularly in tech or gaming industries, and will foster global learning across teams.
What You Will Do
- Employee Journey Ownership: Oversee the entire employee lifecycle, ensuring smooth transitions across recruitment, onboarding, training, retention, and offboarding processes.
- Payroll & Benefits Management: Accurately compute monthly payroll, staff allowances, bonuses, and personal income tax (PIT) in accordance with company policies.
- Reporting & Compliance: Prepare monthly/periodical payroll reports, PIT reports, statutory reports, and other required documents for relevant authorities to ensure compliance.
- Recruitment & Onboarding: Lead and manage recruitment activities, from preparing meeting rooms, posting job ads, to coordinating the onboarding process to ensure seamless integration of new hires into the company.
- HR Operations & Administration: Manage the staff database, labor contracts, overtime records, and other HR administrative tasks to ensure smooth day-to-day HR operations.
- Employee Engagement: Drive initiatives to boost employee engagement, including organizing internal team-building activities, knowledge-sharing workshops, company clubs, employee birthdays, and team events such as company trips.
- Culture & Capability Enhancement: Collaborate with the CEO to build and maintain a strong organizational culture that aligns with the company's vision, driving continuous learning and people development within Uplive.
Other Duties: Take on additional tasks and responsibilities as delegated by the CEO, especially those related to enhancing HR processes and strategic initiatives.
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field in top school
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in HR, preferably in fast-paced environments such as startups or technology/game companies.
- Leadership experience in managing and growing a team of people.
Skills & Expertise:
- Strong background in Compensation & Benefits (C&B) with knowledge of labor laws, personal income tax (PIT) regulations, social insurance laws, and other related HR regulations in Viet Nam.
- HR Operations & Administration: Experience managing staff databases, labor contracts, and HR administration tasks efficiently.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage and align various teams.
- Detail-Oriented & Results-Driven: Strong attention to detail, with a focus on achieving operational efficiency and delivering results.
- Analytical & Execution-Oriented: Ability to analyze HR metrics and translate insights into actionable strategies for improving the employee experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other relevant HR software.

- Self-Starter: Ability to take initiative, drive projects, and make decisions without constant supervision.
