Job Description

Job Purpose

- The job holder oversees the Strategic Partnership Management Function that maximizes the value of strategic partnerships by securing privileged access and/or strategic capabilities. Works with internal TCB stakeholders and strategic partners to accelerate execution of the Bank&aposs 5-Year Strategic Plan. Scope of work may include identification and engagement with potential partners and/or deployment and monitoring of existing partnerships

- The job holder manages the strategic planning and delivery of a portfolio of strategic initiatives and ensures timely delivery of agreed business outcomes within budgeted cost.

Key Accountabilities

1 Plan activities, manage / monitor and direct the implementation of professional activities of the unit:

- Scan and connect: scan environment, short list potential partners, connect with stakeholders

- Structure and secure: understand what adds/destroys value for the partnership, support negotiations, secure approvals

- Onboard and implement: facilitate contract adoption, terminate advisor contracts, communication to media

- Manage and review: set up governance, monitor value drivers in contract, resolve blockers

2 Strategic planning

- Drive the development of Strategic Initiatives as per the Bank&aposs 5 Year Strategic Masterplan. As required, define and establish the portfolio of strategic initiatives aligned with the Bank&aposs strategy and focus Managing Projects

- Oversee the delivery of the portfolio of strategic projects within agreed scope, budget, timelines and quality standards, applying the Bank&aposs project management lifecycle and standards.

-Lead the adoption of best-in-class project management practices including tools, methodologies and standards across the Bank.

- Ensure transition of newly developed solutions into operations to comply with business requirements, regulations, and internal control standards for operationalization.

- Design and execute program governance framework and standards across delivery of all foundational projects.

- Identify and manage cross-project and cross-functional issues, interdependencies, and risks; facilitates risk mitigation at portfolio level.

- Manage overall resources (budget, people) and ensure optimal utilization

3.People management

- Oversee human resources planning and execution (headcount & costs) of their function

- Attract, onboard and retain the right talents for a high- performing team

- Establish and communicate function and individual KRAs/ KPIs, goals, action plan, expectations and results to reporting line

- Manage function performance & provide feedback regularly (following the annual performance management cycle);

- Define teams capability requirements and enable team members professional and personal development through capability assessment, training, coaching & feedback, mentoring, etc.

- Motivate and recognize team members contributions towards the teams shared goals

- Identify and monitor personal, professional development and career advancement of talents in the function

- Act as a role model and promote corporate culture at function level

Success Profile - Qualification and Experiences

Domain expertise:

- Minimum 15 years of strategic partner management with relevant experience in a bank or financial institution ; experience building and managing partnerships creating significant value

- Minimum 10 years of experience in management, leading teams in creating significant value for the company

- Previous roles in financial services, consulting and/or investment banking working on large commercial transactions

- Highly competent in evaluating commercial opportunities and negotiating contracts

- Effective in an unstructured and ambiguous environment

- Proficient in English; evidenced by graduation from a master&aposs or university program taught in 100% English, or a minimum score IELTS 6.5 / TOEFL 650 or equivalent

Qualifications:

- Graduate with masters degree or higher, majoring in economics, finance, or business.

- Preference will be given to candidates with master&aposs/MBA degrees from foreign universities.
