Role Description:

This is a full-time, on-site managerial role based in Củ Chi, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. As a Head of Operations you will oversee the following job responsibilities:

1.Factory Management – Machinery & Equipment:

- Supervise the daily operations of all company facilities and physical assets.

- Ensure that the factory, office, utilities, and equipment operate normally and efficiently.

- Select and negotiate with service providers for factory renovation, installation of utilities, and machinery/equipment.

- Monitor the progress and performance of service providers to ensure service quality and compliance with agreements.

- Plan and oversee regular maintenance, inspections, and repairs.

- Manage workspace layout and space planning.

- Participate in expansion, relocation, and renovation projects as needed.

- Implement energy-saving initiatives and sustainable operation programs.

- Participate in facility setup and workflow implementation to meet regulatory requirements and operational certifications (ISO, HACCP, FSSC, etc.).

- Plan, organize, and supervise production activities to achieve targets in output, quality, and cost.

2.Production & Quality Management:

- Plan, organize, and monitor production to achieve targets in output, quality, and cost.

- Arrange, assign, and allocate production resources efficiently to ensure performance, discipline, and work ethic compliance.

- Ensure production schedules are met and coordinate with Planning, Procurement, and Logistics departments.

- Monitor machine performance and minimize downtime.

- Implement lean manufacturing and process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency.

- Minimize waste, optimize resources, and improve overall productivity.

- Ensure compliance with quality standards (ISO, HACCP, FSSC, etc.).

- Supervise production processes to identify deviations and implement corrective actions.

3.Team Management, Health – Safety – Environment:

- Supervise, train, and motivate factory employees, including supervisors and operators.

- Conduct performance evaluations and implement skill development programs.

- Foster teamwork, discipline, and a positive workplace culture.

- Enforce strict compliance with workplace safety regulations and standards.

- Regularly organize safety drills and inspections to minimize risks.

- Ensure compliance with legal, environmental, and labor regulations.

Qualifications

- Minimum 5 years of experience Expertise in Production Management and Plant Operations. Experience in the plastics and bioplastics industry is an advantage.

- Education background in Material Science, Engineering, Quality Management, Industrial Management or similar fields

- Learning attitude, integrity and accountability and team work mindset are desirable 

- Ability to commute and work at the Factory in Cu Chi, Ho Chi Minh City daily (8AM - 5PM Monday to Saturday)
