KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Planning/budgeting
In charge of developing & executing Data Governance and Quality initiatives
Detail and document the data governance strategy and roadmap for new DWH
Work with IT to procure required infrastructure for rolling out Data Governance initiatives
People management
In charge of the Data Architecture and Quality Governance Department and responsible for the team management with respect to their work, training and satisfaction level
Periodically evaluate team performance to continually improve its efficiency
Day-to-day activities
Contribute to the establishment of effective data governance and quality framework
Develop data principles, policies, standards, processes and guidelines
Establish and maintain wholesome strategic engagement with top management of each Business Units including Directors and their appointed deputies and/or representatives who focus on the data governance roles on their behalf
Define and implement the data governance framework and target operating model
Define and implement data governance metrics KPIs and maturity model
Detail the data governance structure (data councils, working groups and the data governance operating model) and to roll out its implementation
Establish and manage data governance business as usual processes including embedding data governance requirements into other existing business processes in the company

Publish the Data Governance and Quality dashboards to FE Credit leadership
Work with business stakeholders to identify root cause and rectify data quality issues
Implementation and sustenance of data change management tools such as Jira
Undertake other tasks assigned by Deputy BICC Director - Data Management & Complex Report & BICC Director
REQUIREMENTS
. University degree holder, preferably in IT areas
. At least 15+ yearsf experience in Data Governance, Data Quality or Data Management preferable in Financial Services
. Expert in data governance framework and hands on skills in the areas of data profiling, monitoring and data change/issue management processes
. Strong knowledge of data warehousing, reporting, SQL and the ability to perform root cause analysis on data issues/failures
. Excellent knowledge of Change Management processes and tools such as Atlassian Jira
. Good knowledge of IBM Netezza and Oracle
. Excellent oral and written communication, planning and decision-making skills
. Experience with data governance/ profiling tools
. Possess analytical and problem-solving skills
. Excellent knowledge of Change Management processes and tools such as Atlassian Jira
. Strong leadership and time management skill
