Overview: As the Hardware Design Lead Engineer, you will join with design team to development, and implementation of hardware solutions, ensuring that our hardware systems meet performance, reliability, and safety standards.
Responsibilities:
1. Schematic/PCB Design:
- Define and develop hardware building block schematic for complex systems, ensuring alignment with HWE1 requirements
- Schematic/PCB design review, Simulation review
- Co-work with Mechanical for concept design, EMC compliance
2. Technical Oversight:
- Review and approve hardware designs, schematics, and layouts to ensure they meet specifications.
- Evaluate new technologies and tools to enhance hardware design processes and performance.
3. Project Management:
- Manage multiple projects from conception through production, ensuring timely delivery within budget constraints.
- Coordinate with factory to align and sample, testing and production, fullfill project timelines.
4. Documentation & Compliance:
- Ensure comprehensive documentation of hardware designs (HWE1, HWE2)
- Maintain compliance with industry standards (e.g., ISO 26262, safety regulations).
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in hardware design and development, have automotive experience is plus
- Proven experience in leading safety-critical projects, preferably in the automotive industry.
- Hands on experience of bringup, troubleshooting hardware
- Hardware Design Principles: Strong understanding of digital and analog circuit design, including schematic capture and PCB layout.
- Safety Standards: Familiarity with LV123/LV123 and EMC standards
- Design Tools: Proficiency in hardware design and simulation tools (e.g., Altium, Cadence, Mentor Graphics).
- Simulation tool: LTspice, Pspice, TINA, PSIM, Hyperlynx
- Testing and Validation: Knowledge of testing methodologies, including functional, stress, and safety testing, to ensure hardware reliability
