We are seeking a strategic and curious individual to join our Strategic Market Insight (SMI) team. This role is at the intersection of insight generation, strategic thinking, and execution — ideal for someone who thrives on uncovering signals in the market, making sense of buyer behavior, and shaping impactful recommendations.

This Role Will

  • Turn Market Signals into Insights: Identify and interpret trends in buyer behavior, market shifts, and competitor moves — using both structured research and data analysis as inputs.
  • Translate Insights into Strategy: Build compelling storylines and recommendations that influence how Shopee positions itself in the e-commerce landscape.
  • Enable Cross-Functional Decisions: Work with Marketing, Product, and Operations teams to ensure insight-driven thinking is embedded in key business choices.
  • Shape Strategic Narratives: Support leadership by framing complex findings into clear, actionable narratives that guide long-term direction.

Requirements

  • Strong ability to generate insights from multiple sources (data, research, and market intelligence)
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving mindset; comfortable with ambiguity and complexity
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills — able to turn insights into persuasive recommendations
  • Self-driven and proactive, with 3–5 years of professional experience (consulting, strategy, or consumer/market insights roles a plus)
  • Familiarity with market research methods, competitive analysis, or consumer insight tools
  • Experience in e-commerce, digital platforms, or other fast-moving industries
