We are seeking a strategic and curious individual to join our Strategic Market Insight (SMI) team. This role is at the intersection of insight generation, strategic thinking, and execution - ideal for someone who thrives on uncovering signals in the market, making sense of buyer behavior, and shaping impactful recommendations.

This role will:

  • Turn Market Signals into Insights: Identify and interpret trends in buyer behavior, market shifts, and competitor moves - using both structured research and data analysis as inputs.
  • Translate Insights into recommended actions : Build compelling storylines and recommendations that influence how Shopee positions itself in the e-commerce landscape.
  • Enable Cross-Functional Decisions: Work with Marketing, Product, and Operations teams to ensure insight-driven thinking is embedded in key business choices.

Requirements:

  • Ability to generate insights from multiple sources (data, research, and market intelligence).
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills - able to turn insights into persuasive recommendations.
  • Self-driven and proactive.
  • Familiarity with market research methods, competitive analysis, or consumer insight tools.
  • Experience in e-commerce, digital platforms, or other fast-moving industries.
