General Accountant

The Opportunity

Our client, a fast-growing company in the wholesale seafood distribution industry, is looking for a detail-oriented and reliable General Accountant to oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, and compliance activities while supporting the sustainable growth of the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and consolidate accounting data including sales, receivables/payables, inventory, expenses, and banking transactions.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with Vietnamese Accounting Standards (VAS).
• Control revenue, cost of goods sold (COGS), operational expenses, and profitability across product lines and distribution channels.
• Monitor B2B receivables, payment terms, cash flow, and coordinate debt collection activities with Sales teams.
• Ensure accuracy and compliance of accounting documents, tax filings, contracts, and financial records.
• Conduct month-end closing, reconciliations, and business performance reporting for Management.
• Coordinate with Warehouse and Operations teams on inventory, shrinkage, and cost control.
• Support internal/external audits and participate in improving internal control processes.
• Identify financial risks and provide timely recommendations to Management.

Key Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Auditing, or related fields.
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a General Accountant.
• Prior experience in B2B wholesale, seafood, food distribution, FMCG, or F&B industries is preferred.
• Strong understanding of inventory accounting, COGS, tax regulations, and Vietnamese accounting standards.
• Proficient in Excel/Google Sheets and accounting software/ERP systems.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
• Honest, responsible, and able to work effectively under pressure and reporting deadlines.
