To support our continued growth, we are currently hiring a Product Development Specialist to join our dynamic Product Development team based in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
Your Mission
- Design and develop solid wood furniture using SolidWorks and SWOOD
- Create detailed technical documentation for cost estimation and production
- Optimize the construction of existing products based on quality and cost requirements
- Lead and monitor the prototyping and in-house testing phases in the factory
- Review technical documentation, product design, and construction prior to mass production
- Organize and lead pre-production meetings with suppliers
- Provide accurate reporting on project progress and activities
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and standards in target markets (Europe, UK, USA)
- Contribute to continuous product improvement initiatives
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in furniture design or product development, preferably in solid wood
- Proficiency in SolidWorks and SWOOD
- Strong technical knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials
- Ability to interpret technical specifications for wooden furniture (indoor & outdoor)
- Experience in packaging design and drop test procedures (ISTA 3 / ASTM)
- Knowledge of European and U.S. regulations and standards
- Bachelor's degree in Wood Science and Technology (or equivalent) from an accredited institution
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English (mandatory); knowledge of French is a plus
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in an international environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Willingness to travel frequently to suppliers within Vietnam
