Progress
- Support assigned ISO 26262 activities for Battery/Powertrain and/or ADAS functions under the guidance of Lead Engineer or Manager.
- Assist in preparing and maintaining safety documents for specific modules in alignment with project milestones.
- Participate in basic safety analyses (e.g., HARA, FMEA, FTA) with coaching and supervision from senior engineers.
- Under the guidance of Senior Engineers, explore and develop AI-based toolchains to support automation and intelligence in Functional Safety activities.
- Track progress of assigned safety activities and report task status, learning outcomes, and issues to the Lead Engineer.
- Collaborate with system, hardware, software, and supplier teams to collect technical information and support data preparation for safety work products.
Quality
- Support the development and documentation of Functional Safety Concepts (FSC) and Functional/Technical Safety Requirements (FSR/TSR) for Battery/Powertrain and ADAS modules.
- Learn and apply best practices of ISO 26262 standard through guided project activities.
- Ensure documentation quality by following provided templates, maintaining consistency and traceability.
- Assist in Safety Verification & Validation activities, including documentation support and evidence preparation.
- Participate in internal FuSa meetings, technical reviews, and cross-functional workshops for knowledge building.
Cost & Efficiency
- Reuse existing templates and lessons learned to ensure efficient documentation and avoid rework.
- Learn to use FuSa tools (e.g., CodeBeamer, JIRA, Medini Analyze, or similar) to support documentation and analysis tasks.
- Propose ideas to improve workflows and support process automation and efficiency using modern toolchains
- Learn to identify potential risks or inefficiencies and escalate them to the Lead Engineer or Manager.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.
- No prior Functional Safety experience required — important is interest and motivation to learn FuSa, and state-of-the-art AI technologies.
- Curiosity about AI tools, software automation, or data-driven engineering is strongly encouraged.
- Basic understanding of embedded systems, automotive software, or control systems is an advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset with eagerness to learn from hands-on projects.
- Good English communication skills, especially verbal, for effective collaboration in a multicultural environment.
- Team-oriented, proactive, and open to training, mentoring, and continuous improvement.
- Passion for innovation and willingness to contribute to the future of intelligent and safe mobility.
Preferred
- Internship or project experience in automotive, embedded systems, or safety engineering.
