Conduct data‑driven fraud analysis using SQL and other querying tools, identifying abnormal patterns, behavioral anomalies, and risk signals across customer and transaction data.
Perform periodic and event‑driven screening based on risk models and data triggers, ensuring timely reviews, complete documentation, and proper record retention.
Maintain and enhance fraud and AML risk controls, including reviewing monitoring rules, identifying control gaps, and proposing adjustments to improve effectiveness.
Build and maintain operational reports, dashboards, and trackers to support daily monitoring, management updates, and regulatory or audit needs.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve cases, clarify risk decisions, and support system or process improvements.
Provide team‑level support through quality checks, review of analytical samples, task coordination, and ensuring adherence to fraud and AML procedures across the investigation workflow.
Requirements
At least 1-year experience in a tech start-up (e-commerce, fintech, banking) for an operation or KYC role.
Hands‑on experience with SQL (must‑have) for querying, data investigation, and identifying fraud or risk patterns.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets and Google Slides.
Critical & logical thinking, problem solving skills, flexibility in handling problems.
Proficiency communication skills in English and Vietnamese (verbal and written) to coordinate with internal stakeholders across the region.
Good team player, positive attitude with a can-do attitude, & integrity and responsibility.
A fast learner who is meticulous and detail-oriented.
