Job Summary:
Our client is seeking aFinance & Accounting Managerwith a strong background inretail or FMCGto oversee financial operations, ensure compliance, and drive business performance. The ideal candidate will have experience managing financial processes in high-volume transactions and dynamic commercial environments. Experience inmedia is a plus
Key Responsibilities:
1) Financial Management & Reporting
- Oversee the end-to-end financial cycle for the retail/FMCG business, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Manage financial reporting, includingProfit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements, ensuring timely monthly and annual closings.
- Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes to support business strategy.
- Monitor financial performance, analyze variances, and provide strategic recommendations.
2) Accounting & Compliance
- Ensure compliance withIFRS,local accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies.
- Supervise general ledger management, accounts payable/receivable, and inventory accounting.
- Oversee tax reporting, VAT calculations, and corporate tax submissions while managing audits and regulatory filings.
- Optimize internal controls to safeguard company assets and improve financial processes.
3) Retail & FMCG-Specific Finance
- Manage financial aspects ofsales channels, includingmarketplaces, offline retail, distribution, and import.
- Ensure proper revenue recognition and cost allocation across multiple sales platforms.
- Oversee inventory costing, COGS recognition, and supply chain finance to optimize working capital.
- Analyze promotional spend, trade marketing costs, and sales discounts to maximize profitability.
4) Business Partnering & Process Improvement
- Collaborate withcommercial, sales, and supply chain teamsto drive business growth.
- Improve financial processes by leveraging automation and system enhancements.
- Support ERP implementation and digital transformation initiatives for finance.
5) Media Experience (Plus): Track and report onmarketing and media spend efficiency, ensuring alignment with financial objectives.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree inAccounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field (CPA, CMA, or ACCA is a plus).
- 58 years of experienceas a finance & accounting manager, preferably in retail or FMCG.
- Experience inthe media background(advertising, marketing, digital commerce) is a plus.
- Proficiency inERP systemsand advancedExcel skills.
- Strong knowledge ofIFRS, local tax laws, and internal control frameworks.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate financial insights to non-finance teams.
- High integrity, ownership, and a mindset for continuous improvement.
