The Opportunity
We are seeking an exceptional Vietnamese Head Chef to lead our kitchen team. This is a pivotal role for an individual with a deep passion for authentic Japanese ramen and the ambition to establish SORA Ramen as a premier culinary destination in Vietnam. You will be responsible for upholding the highest standards of authenticity, quality, and operational efficiency, embodying our brands premium and minimalist values.
Key Responsibilities
- Culinary Excellence: Develop and execute the SORA Ramen menu, focusing on authentic Japanese ramen, including expert preparation of broths (e.g., Tonkotsu, Shoyu, Miso), tare, aroma oils, chashu, and noodles.
- Quality Control: Maintain rigorous standards for food preparation, presentation, and consistency. Ensure all dishes reflect the authentic Japanese techniques and the SORA premium quality.
- Kitchen Management: Oversee all kitchen operations, including inventory management, ordering, cost control, and efficient scheduling.
- Hygiene and Compliance: Ensure the kitchen adheres to the highest standards of food safety, sanitation, and hygiene.
- Team Leadership & Development: Recruit, train, and mentor the kitchen staff, fostering a professional, efficient, and positive working environment.
The Ideal Candidate
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Chef in authentic Japanese cuisine, preferably with specialized expertise in ramen.
- A deep understanding of Japanese culinary principles, aesthetics, and meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a kitchen team in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of kitchen operations, cost control, and inventory management.
- Must align with SORAs modern, minimalist, and sophisticated brand identity.
- Available to join 22 September 2025.
- Essential Requirement: Basic conversational English is required to facilitate communication during international training.

Important Note: Service Agreement
Due to the significant investment in specialized training provided by SORA Ramen, the successful candidate must agree to a minimum service commitment of two (2) years following the completion of the sponsored training in Japan.
