Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and hands-on Equipment Process Drive (EPD) Engineer to join our New Product Introduction (NPI) team for camera module production.You will develop, qualify, and optimize production equipment and processes, ensuring scalable, stable, and high-yield manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define, verify, and develop assembly and test equipment for camera module processes (bonding, alignment, dispensing, curing, etc.).
- Lead equipment selection, qualification, and supplier collaboration.
- Develop and optimize production processes; perform FMEA, capability studies, and control plans.
- Negotiate equipment selection and process DOE plan with customers and manage DOE.
- Support smooth transition from pilot to mass production with focus on equipment stability and performance metrics.
- Manage suppliers for design reviews, timelines, and issue resolution.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering. Masters degree or MBA is a plus.
- Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, equipment/process development, or NPI rolespreferably in camera modules, optics, or precision assembly.
- Proven hands-on experience with automated assembly/test equipment and vision systems.
- Deep understanding of NPI phases (EVT/DVT/PVT), process validation, and high-volume production requirements.
- Familiarity with cleanroom operations, precision alignment, epoxy dispensing, UV/thermal curing, and final optical inspection.
- Excellent project management, communication, and customer interfacing skills.
- English is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in mobile, automotive, or consumer camera module manufacturing.
- Knowledge of reliability and environmental stress testing (thermal, humidity, vibration, etc.).
- Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing certification is a plus.
- Experience with equipment IQ/OQ/PQ protocols and process documentation standards.
- Chinese is a plus.
