Job Description
Assisting manages the day to day operation of the Engineering department.
Supervises staff in routine repairs and preventative maintenance.
Inspects all work for ensuring it conforms with hotel and government specifications
Ensures all staff are well groomed and in the correct uniform.
Assists with the recruitment and training of engineering staff in accordance with hotel guidelines.
Ensures all work performed by staff is compliant with codes and regulations.
Follows up on all outstanding work orders.
Inspects areas to ensure preventative maintenance is scheduled.
Prepares the weekly schedule for all staff.
Liaise with contractors to schedule work required.
Maintains staff relations.
Maintains safety awareness.
Reviews log book.
Conducts Inventory.
Checks employee attendance.
Implements other duties as required and directed by the Chief Engineer
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent
Minimum 3 years of engineering experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Good communication and writing skills in Engish
Literate in the use of Microsoft Office and engineering tools.
Problem solving, reasoning, motivating, organizational and training abilities
