Job Description:
The Engineering & Maintenance Manager is responsible for technical reliability, maintenance excellence, and asset performance across Sorting Centers (SOC), Warehouses (WH), and First Mile (FLM) hubs in the South region.
This role ensures stable operation of ASM and warehouse automation, effective preventive maintenance & CI, disciplined budget control, and strong facility & asset management to support daily operations and peak readiness.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Technical Ownership - Automation, PLC & Facility Systems
- Own technical operation of Automated Sorting Machines (ASM) across SOCs
- Maintain and troubleshoot PLC-based control systems (logic, I/O, VFDs, HMIs)
- Perform basic PLC programming, modification, and debugging to support CI and system stability
- Support and maintain warehouse automation systems (conveyors, scanners, sorters, sensors, drives)
- Own technical understanding of facility systems, including:
- Electrical systems: LV distribution, panels, breakers, grounding, lighting
- Network & internet systems: LAN, basic network infrastructure supporting automation & CCTV (coordination with IT)
- Water systems: water supply, drainage, pumps, basic plumbing for WH & hub operations
2. Maintenance & Continuous Improvement (CI)
- Build and execute preventive & predictive maintenance plans for:
- ASM, automation, electrical, network, and water systems
- Lead CI initiatives to:
- Reduce downtime and recurring failures
- Improve MTTR / MTBF
- Extend asset lifespan and reliability
- Standardize maintenance SOPs, technical checklists, and documentation
3. Budget Planning & Cost Control
- Own engineering & maintenance budget for South region
- Control maintenance cost, spare parts, and service contracts
- Support CAPEX planning for automation, electrical upgrades, and facility improvements
- Track and report cost savings from CI initiatives
4. Facility & Asset Management
- Manage technical infrastructure across SOC, WH, and FLM hubs:
- Electrical, automation, network, and water systems
- Own asset lifecycle management:
- Asset register, condition monitoring, replacement planning
- Ensure sites are safe, compliant, and operationally ready
5. Leadership & Stakeholder Management
- Lead and develop regional engineering & maintenance teams
- Define roles, KPIs, and skill development plans
- Coordinate with Ops, IT, Safety, Infrastructure, and vendors
- Provide hands-on leadership during incidents and peak operations
6. Compliance & Safety
- Ensure compliance with Vietnam regulations and standards, including:
- QCVN & TCVN electrical and industrial safety standards
- Fire Prevention & Fighting (PCCC) requirements
- Support audits, inspections, and corrective actions
- Promote safe working practices for electrical, automation, and facility systems
Requirements:
Experience
- 6-10+ years in engineering, maintenance, or automation roles
- Hands-on experience with:
- Automated sorting machines / conveyor systems
- PLC systems and basic programming
- Electrical systems and facility infrastructure
- Experience in logistics, warehouse, or industrial environments preferred
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, or related fields
