Your Job
As an Engineer, Sourcing, you will play a key role in implementing sourcing strategies and ensuring cost-effective procurement of direct materials. This position requires strong collaboration with internal teams and suppliers to support new product development, cost-saving initiatives, and compliance with global standards.
Our Team
You will be part of the DSS division, working closely with the Regional Category Management team and plant operations. Our team focuses on driving sourcing excellence, supplier development, and continuous improvement initiatives.
What You Will Do
- Initiate and execute sourcing requirements for the division and plant.
- Collaborate with internal teams and suppliers to resolve discrepancies and support purchasing needs.
- Conduct supplier assessments, audits, and onboarding for new suppliers.
- Support new product development and transfer projects by sourcing new suppliers as needed.
- Drive cost-saving activities and improve Total Cost of Ownership.
- Manage supplier scorecards and analyze buying patterns to optimize spend.
- Conduct regular meetings with key suppliers to monitor market trends and changes.
- Ensure compliance with ISO standards, EH&S, CSR, and Molex TQM principles.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Bachelor's degree in Technical (Electronics, Mechanical, etc.) or Business.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in sourcing or procurement.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and sourcing procedures.
- Proficiency in English (oral and written) and strong problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with ISO standards, CSR, and RBA requirements.
What Will Put You Ahead
- Experience in sourcing within an electronics or electrical manufacturing environment.
- Strong interpersonal and analytical skills.
- Good understanding of contract agreements and supplier base in Vietnam.
- Ability to lead Kaizen and innovation initiatives.
