About The Role
Local Unit & Position Description
DNV – Maritime Region Southeast Asia, Pacific & India is seeking Electrical Surveyor(s) to join our Viet Nam New Building – NB and CMC. As an NB/CMC Electrical Surveyor you will be member of a highly qualified team of surveyors and auditors serving various ship types and you will be involved with new building, and CMC depends on work demands in Viet Nam
Tasks may include
- Ensure that the work or duties performed are in accordance with the rules, regulations, instructions, guidelines and quality requirements of DNV
- Handle NB and CMC work in control and monitoring systems, switchgear, and cybersecurity. in newbuilding projects and CMC, focusing on electrical installations and Harbour Acceptance Testing (HAT) for control, monitoring, and DP systems.
- Handle MED/MER audits
- Maintain the confidentiality of clients business, processes, designs, developments and documentation
- When applicable, to supervise the work of others and ensure that it is carried out as above and in an efficient and economic manner.
- Communicate to line management at the earliest appropriate opportunity if in receipt of information that is important to the reputation or integrity of DNV
- Exhibit customer-oriented focus through promoting DNV onboard or on-site and by acting as a technical resource for customer questions

Requirements
About you
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Marine Engineering or relevant degree
- 3+ years of experience in the Marine industry focusing on electrical equipment/system, DP and cyber secure.
- Strong customer service orientation
- Technical competencies: Understanding of class, statutory surveyor work and responsibilities
- Behavioral competencies: Team player but able to work independently on surveys
- Flexibility in traveling is required
- Physical abilities necessary to perform regular functions of the job
- Fluent in English (speaking and writing)
- Able to travel/mobilize as required.
