Key Responsibilities:
Operational Management:
- Management and leading the Branch Office, including all necessary legal, commercial, administrative and recruitment arrangements.
- Settlement of all carrier-related operations and processes, including vessel handling, cargo releasing, empty container storage and repositions, etc.
- Arrangement of all business processes related to empty and laden shipments in both import and export directions.
- Building partnerships with terminals, ports, deports and authorities.
- Booking system optimization to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
- Contract negotiation and conclusion.
Sales and Marketing management:
- Constant expansion of Transit Line's market presence in the designated region;
- Development of the allocated trade lanes;
- Market analysis to identify new business development opportunities;
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing and new international customers, carriers and partners;
- Launching and handling forwarding related activities including air shipments, trucking, warehousing, customs clearance, etc.;
- Regular performance reports on branch activities.
Team leadership and development:
- Management of the Branch office team to achieve target cargo volumes;
- Ensuring employee's professional growth and KPI systems developing;
- Implementing effective management practices and fostering a collaborative environment.
Financial Control and Reporting:
- Budgeting and expense & tax control for the office.
- Prepare regular reports on financial performance and operational activities.
- Prepare and submit monthly SOA.
- Analyse profitability of logistics operations.
- Ensure Vietnam company's tax reports to tax authorities comply with local rules and legislation and correspond to company's internal policy.
International Collaboration:
- Collaborate with the headquarters and other regional units (functional business directors Liner and FFW, IT, Finance, HR etc.).
- Contribute to developing global logistics solutions tailored to the specifics of the Vietnamese market.
Candidate Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of the freight forwarding market, including key customers, carriers, vendors, and subcontractors
- Proven experience in developing and managing freight forwarding operations across multiple modes: FCL, LCL, air freight, trucking, feeder services, and rail
- Solid understanding of liner shipping operations from a carrier perspective
- Strong knowledge of the Southeast Asia shipping market, including key trade lanes and competitive landscape
- Proven experience working in a multinational environment
