Position: DevOps Engineer (Middle/Senior)
We are looking for ahands-on DevOps Engineerwho takes strong ownership of system architecture, infrastructure quality, and operational excellence. You will work closely with engineering, product, and business stakeholders to build a reliable, secure, and scalable platform.
This role requires a balance ofdeep technical execution, proactive ownership, and the ability toenable teamsthrough standards, tooling, and clear communication.
What You'll Do
Platform & Infrastructure (AWS)
- Design, standardize, and evolveAWS architectures(supporting mainly Ruby on Rails and Laravel applications)
- Build and maintainreusable, Terraform-based infrastructure modulesfor new and existing products
- Own infrastructurestability, scalability, reliability, and availabilityacross all environments
- Lead infrastructure incident response, includingroot-cause analysisand preventive improvements
- Clearly communicate infrastructure risks, incidents, and remediation plans to product and engineering teams
Security & Risk Management
- Identify, assess, and mitigateAWS security risks(internal and external)
- Design and operate secureIAM policies, access control, logging, and audit mechanisms
- Proactively improve security standards and best practices across products
CI/CD & Developer Experience
- Design, implement, and optimizeCI/CD pipelineswith a strong focus on automation and reliability
- Standardize deployment workflows across teams and environments
- Improve developer productivity throughautomation, platform tooling, and documentation
Monitoring, Cost Optimization & Databases
- Design effectivemonitoring and alerting strategieswith a strong signal-to-noise balance
- Optimize CloudWatch metrics, logs, and alarms
- LeadAWS cost analysis and continuous cost-optimization initiatives
- Define databaseoperations, performance, and securitypolicies
- Establish databasequery history and audit trackingstandards
Cross-Team Enablement & Platform Foundation
- Act as theinitial owner of the Platform / DevOps function
- Define and documentproduct-wide standards, including:
- Infrastructure & Infrastructure as Code
- CI/CD pipelines
- Git workflows and management
- Monitoring, alerting, and on-call practices
- Application error handling and Slack notification channels
- Proactively identify problems, propose solutions, and drive them to completion
- Help shape thefuture Platform / DevOps team and engineering culture
What we need:
Must-Have
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS(architecture, operations, optimization)
- Deep knowledge ofCI/CD and automated deployment
- Strong experience withInfrastructure as Code
- Terraform (required)
- CloudFormation (experience or solid understanding)
- Solid database knowledge (performance, operations, security)
- 3+ years of backend development experience
- Experience operating production systems
- Linux and networking fundamentals
- Strong ownership, motivation, and self-driven mindset
- Ability to work independently and proactively in a team-building environment
- Clear communication skills with both engineers and non-engineers
- Working proficiency inEnglish
Nice-to-Have
- AWSorsecurity-related certifications
- Containerplatforms (Docker, ECS, Kubernetes)
- High-traffic or distributed systems experience
- Experience building internal platforms or shared infrastructure
- Experience in multicultural teams (e.g.Japan/Vietnam)
