Reports to: Demand Planning Manager
ABOUT THE JOB:
The Demand Planning Specialist is responsible for supporting the Demand Planning Manager in overseeing all activities related to demand planning and inventory management across Vinamilk's distribution centers. This role plays a key part in ensuring product availability, optimizing transportation routes, and maintaining inventory levels to meet business needs efficiently and cost-effectively.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Key Responsibilities:
- Support Execution of Demand and Supply Plans: Assist managers in implementing demand and supply plans to ensure product availability at Vinamilk's distribution warehouses.
- Inventory Control: Monitor and manage safety stock levels, minimum and maximum inventory thresholds for finished goods across all company distribution centers.
- Transportation Route Planning: Participate in planning optimal transportation routes from production sites to distribution centers to minimize logistics costs while ensuring timely and sufficient product delivery.
- Inventory Monitoring: Support the supervision of inventory levels at distribution centers to ensure timely and adequate supply.
- Other Tasks: Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education & Major:
- University or Postgraduate degree
- Majors in Economics, Business Administration, or Supply Chain Management
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in supply chain management or production planning
- At least 3 years in a similar role, preferably in large-scale companies in the food or FMCG industry
Professional Knowledge & Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of supply planning, logistics, and production optimization
- Basic understanding of accounting, finance, and business administration
- Strong time management and planning skills
- Decision-making and problem-solving abilities
- Good numerical and analytical skills
- Teamwork and logical thinking
- Effective communication and negotiation skills
- Team leadership and management capabilities
