Job Description:
The Operations Planning Associate supports end-to-end operational planning across Shopee's warehouse network by coordinating sales forecasts with execution requirements. The role contributes to operational readiness, ensures efficient resource planning, and strengthens alignment between Commercial and Operations teams, especially during campaign and peak periods.
1. Demand & Performance Planning:
- Consolidate sales projections from Commercial teams and support the development of warehouse-level operational plans.
- Translate sales forecasts into basic outbound plans and daily operational metrics under guidance from senior team members.
- Monitor performance against plans, highlight gaps, and support adjustment actions to maintain operational efficiency.
- Assist in improving forecast accuracy through data review and cross-team coordination.
- Support the enhancement of planning frameworks to improve long-term alignment between Commercial and Operations teams.
2. Ops Continuity Planning:
- Assist in planning for peak periods such as campaigns and holidays, including collecting volume projections and preparing capacity inputs.
- Coordinate with Opex, Workforce, and Warehouse teams to align operational requirements and pre-campaign KPIs.
- Act as a supporting point of contact between Commercial and Warehouse teams for activities that impact order load (flash sales, livestreams, campaigns).
- Track execution performance during campaign periods and escalate risks as needed.
- Support contingency planning and issue follow-up to ensure operational continuity during high volume periods.
3. Executive Reporting & Process Improvement:
- Prepare and update dashboards or reports to track operational health, forecast accuracy, and campaign results.
- Perform data validation and assist in translating findings into insights for operational improvement.
- Identify basic process gaps and support initiatives to enhance planning visibility and accuracy across the warehouse network.
- Execute other tasks or projects assigned by the line manager to support planning and operational objectives.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in warehouse operations, production planning, supply chain, or related roles.
- Understanding of capacity planning, throughput concepts, and operational workflows is preferred.
- Proficient in Excel experience with Power BI or SQL is a plus.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
