Job Title: Delivery Manager
About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated Delivery Manager to oversee the end-to-end delivery of software solutions. This position requires not only strong project management and stakeholder coordination skills, but also a solid technical background gained from previous hands-on development experience. This is an excellent opportunity for former developers who want to transition into a leadership role, while still leveraging their technical expertise to drive successful project outcomes, and are responsible for the account P&L.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the end-to-end delivery of IT/software projects, ensuring timelines, budget, and quality standards are met.
- Act as the primary point of contact with clients, building strong relationships and ensuring satisfaction with delivered services.
- Define and monitor delivery KPIs (e.g., velocity, release predictability, defect leakage, SLA adherence).
- Accountability drives financial outcomes (P&L)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Developers, QA, BA, PM, Ops) to align project execution with business objectives.
- Manage resources, risks, and change requests effectively throughout the project lifecycle.
- Drive process optimization and best practices to improve delivery efficiency and quality.
- Leverage hands-on development experience to review technical solutions, support architectural discussions, and guide the engineering team.
- Train, mentor, and coach team members to enhance technical capabilities, improve collaboration, and build a strong, self-driven engineering team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or related field.
- Proven experience (5+ years) in project or delivery management, preferably in IT/software.
- Background as a Software Developer (2–3 years minimum), with solid understanding of software development lifecycle and engineering practices.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent communication in English (both written and verbal).
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies, project management tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps).
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
