DATA ANALYST
Employment type: Full-time, remote

Role Overview
We are looking for a Data Analyst who can translate business problems into analytical questions, use data to identify insights, and provide practical recommendations.
The ideal candidate should have strong analytical thinking, solid Python and SQL skills, and the ability to use AI effectively across the analytical workflow. The role includes building dashboards and data products, but does not require expertise in traditional BI tools such as Power BI. We encourage the use of code and AI-assisted tools to create clear, useful, and maintainable dashboards.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with stakeholders to understand business problems, objectives, and requirements.
- Explore, clean, and analyse data to identify trends, anomalies, risks, and opportunities.
- Develop appropriate metrics, customer segments, and analytical approaches for business problems.
- Use Python and SQL to process data, test hypotheses, and produce reproducible analyses.
- Build dashboards, reports, and lightweight analytical applications using code and AI-assisted tools.
- Ensure dashboards present accurate metrics, answer clear business questions, and support decision-making.
- Translate analytical findings into clear and actionable business recommendations.
- Design measurement approaches, including A/B tests or other suitable evaluation methods.
- Communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Use AI for brainstorming, coding, debugging, visualisation, dashboard development, and improving analysis while independently validating all outputs.
Requirements
- Experience as a Data Analyst, Product Analyst, data-focused Business Analyst, or in a similar role.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Strong SQL skills.
- Practical Python skills for data processing, analysis, visualisation, and dashboard development.
- Ability to write, review, debug, modify, and explain analytical code.
- Ability to design dashboards that communicate metrics and insights clearly.
- Understanding of descriptive statistics, segmentation, hypothesis testing, and analytical evaluation.
- Ability to question assumptions, identify data limitations, and validate conclusions.
- Ability to use AI critically and effectively without relying on it for final decisions.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to turn data into clear business recommendations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with product, customer behaviour, marketing, financial, fintech, or cryptocurrency data.
- Experience designing or analysing A/B tests.
- Understanding of data warehouses, data modelling, and ETL processes.
- Experience building dashboards or analytical applications using Python, web-based frameworks, notebooks, or AI-assisted development tools.
- Experience with Power BI or other traditional BI tools is welcome but not required.
