Data Analyst

At EmbedIT, data is at the heart of many business decisions. As a Data Warehouse Analyst, you'll play a key role in translating business needs into scalable data solutions, helping teams understand their data and ensuring our Data Warehouse continues to evolve in the right direction.

You'll work closely with business stakeholders, developers and architects, bridging the gap between requirements and technical implementation. If you enjoy solving complex data puzzles, understanding how systems connect, and influencing the design of enterprise-scale data solutions, this role could be a great fit.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyse business requirements and translate them into clear functional and technical specifications.
• Design and maintain data models, data mappings and solution documentation.
• Assess the impact of changes across Data Warehouse solutions and source systems.
• Collaborate with developers to ensure requirements are understood and implemented effectively.
• Support incident investigations and help identify root causes of data-related issues.
• Create test scenarios and validate delivered solutions against business expectations.
• Drive data quality and governance practices across the Data Warehouse environment.
• Review analytical deliverables and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Participate in solution design discussions and recommend optimal approaches for data integration and processing.
• Mentor junior analysts and support knowledge sharing across the team.

Your Experience and Skills:

• Strong SQL skills and the ability to analyse complex datasets.
• Experience working in Data Warehouse, Business Intelligence or Data Engineering environments.
• Knowledge of data modelling principles and dimensional modelling concepts.
• Understanding of ETL processes, data flows and system integrations.
• Experience gathering, analysing and documenting business requirements.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to assess impacts, dependencies and risks across complex systems.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Confidence working independently and driving initiatives forward.

It would be nice to have:

• Experience with Oracle databases and Data Warehouse platforms.
• Knowledge of PowerDesigner, Enterprise Architect or similar modelling tools.
• Familiarity with data governance and data quality frameworks.
• Experience working in enterprise-scale environments with multiple source systems.
• Understanding of integration patterns and data architecture principles.
