About the Role
Latinum HR is hiring for a client seeking a Country Manager - Thailand/Vietnam/Malaysia/Philippines to lead strategic growth in a highly regulated and complex pharmaceutical market. This role has a strong focus on in-licensing, requiring deep expertise in identifying, evaluating, negotiating, and onboarding products and portfolios suitable for the Thailand market, particularly within oncology and specialty pharmaceuticals.
Candidates must have hands-on experience working in or managing a specific country as a core market and a strong understanding of local regulatory, localization, and commercialization requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and manage P&L for country operations, ensuring sustainable growth and profitability
- Lead in-licensing initiatives (primary focus) including product evaluation, due diligence, negotiations, and deal closure
- Support select out-licensing opportunities aligned with strategic objectives
- Develop and execute country-specific business and portfolio strategies
- Build and manage B2B partnerships, licensors, distributors, and strategic stakeholders
- Oversee local product registrations, coordinating with regulatory authorities and internal teams
- Drive new product launches, lifecycle planning, and basket optimization
- Lead local manufacturing, localization, and technology transfer initiatives to positive commercial outcomes
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, pricing, and regulatory changes to guide licensing decisions
- Build and lead a high-performing local business development team
Key Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in international pharmaceutical business development, with strong in-licensing exposure
- Mandatory experience being based in or managing a country as a key market
- Deep understanding of Thailand's pharmaceutical regulatory and localization requirements
- Proven track record of successful in-licensing deals, from scouting to commercialization
- Experience managing P&L and complex commercial operations
- Strong negotiation, stakeholder management, and strategic planning skills

- Oncology or specialty pharma portfolio exposure
- Experience working in highly regulated or geopolitically complex markets
- Established network with global licensors and regional partners
