The Role
The Country Manager is expected to lead business development, manage client relationships, and ensure compliance and growth. The role requires a blend of commercial acumen, technical understanding (especially in building materials or related sectors), and the ability to build trust with senior factory owners.
Strategic Leadership and Business Development
- The Country Manager, will have full P&L responsibility, must not only drive new business but also ensure compliance, conduct regular audits, and resolve issues in a way that maintains long-term partnerships. This requires a blend of commercial, legal, and technical skills, as well as the ability to negotiate settlements and encourage licensees to adopt new technologies.
- Building trust and credibility with these factory owners is essential, and the Country Manager must be able to operate at a senior level, often negotiating with individuals who are used to dealing directly with company owners or general managers.
- The Country Manager is expected to be present with clients, attend industry events, and collaborate with colleagues across regions. The Country Manager can draw on expertise from colleagues in Europe, the US, and China, ensuring that local clients benefit from the latest innovations and best practices
Experience and Professional Qualifications
Experience and professional qualifications required for the role.
- Bachelor Degree in Business Administration or relevant field. Masters Degree or MBA will be an advantage
- Fluent in English and Vietnamese
- Ambitious and experienced B2B sales experiences with general management skills
- More than 10 years of professional experience, including significant sales experience in international companies
- Able to balance commercial growth, technical support, and relationship management in a dynamic and competitive environment.
- Experience with flooring/wood product or related industries is a plus
- Demonstrates a strong work ethic and excels as a collaborative team player
- Able to trave 30 50% of the time
