Job Description

Your Profile

You are good at building interpersonal relationships and have a strong track record of managing a business in addition to achieving sales and business development outcomes. You shave an interest in technology and automobiles, and want to play an integral part to drive the growth of electric vehicle (EV) adoption in Vietnam. You have a good understanding of mobile applications and their transactions requirement, you are familiar with their use, and you are ready to actively contribute ideas on new value streams from the use of the mobile app for EV charging. You have a network of contacts within the real estate or property management industry, and can rely on your connections to secure locations for EV charging within the different property segments.

As the potential Country Lead, you will be responsible for the overall performance and growth of the Group's expansion efforts in Vietnam. This role requires your leadership across all aspects of the business, to ensure the successful development, deployment, operation, and expansion of our electric vehicles charging network. The Country Lead is accountable for achieving the country's financial, operational, and strategic objectives while ensuring high standards of safety, customer satisfaction, and regulatory compliance.

Expected Deliverables

Within 3 months

  • Demonstrate a clear understanding of the group's goals for the region, and within Vietnam.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of all the existing functional teams within the country.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the partners that we work with and the history of each partnership.

Within 6 months

  • Opening relationships to the sales/ business development teams to secure at least 15 new locations.
  • Establish a culture of process improvements to improve work efficiency.
  • Establish a clear rhythm of weekly internal meetings, including a structure within meetings where there is a focus on outcomes.
  • Establish a monthly meeting with Directors, that includes a presentation on all key aspects of the business performance and issues.

Within 12 months

  • Review all processes to guide all non-front end on operational requirements
  • Work with the team to put in place a clear operational plan that capitalizes on technology to support the projected growth of the business
  • 6 monthly staff reviews to facilitate staff career growth within the company.

Responsibilities

Country Leadership

  • Develop and execute the country strategy aligned with the Group's objectives.
  • Lead and manage the Vietnam business to achieve revenue, profitability and growth targets.
  • Build and develop a high-performing local team and foster a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Build strong relationships with government authorities, utility companies, strategic partners and key customers.
  • Provide regular business updates, forecasts and strategic recommendations to regional leadership.

Commercial and Business Development

  • Identify and secure new business opportunities to expand the EV charging network.
  • Develop strategic partnerships with property developers, fleet operators, commercial building owners, retail operators, government agencies and other key stakeholders.
  • Lead commercial negotiations, contract discussions and customer relationship management.
  • Drive utilization, revenue growth and customer acquisition across the charging network.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities and regulatory developments to identify growth opportunities.

Projects and Operations

  • Oversee the end-to-end delivery of EV charging projects from site acquisition through commissioning.
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget and to the required quality standards.
  • Manage project risks and resolve issues that may impact timelines or customer commitments.
  • Ensure the reliable operation and maintenance of the charging network.
  • Monitor charger uptime, service quality and operational KPIs.
  • Drive continuous improvements in operational efficiency, customer experience and network performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business or a related discipline.
  • At least 8 years of leadership experience, preferably in infrastructure, energy, engineering or related industries.
  • Demonstrable track record of achieving commercial targets and driving market growth.
  • Strong financial literacy with experience in budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills with experience building high performing teams.
  • Willingness and desire to roll up their sleeves and execute while also seeing the broader vision of the company.
  • Have an entrepreneurial spirit and drive with the ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
  • Willingness to travel within the country as required for business needs.
  • Professional proficiency in English.
