As Consultant – Accounting and Tax (Client Assignment), you will be dedicated to supporting an Australia-based client in managing their accounting, tax, and compliance requirements. Working closely with the client and key stakeholders, you will deliver accurate, timely, and high-quality services while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and business requirements.

What you will do. A day in the life.

In this role, you will be responsible for the following key duties and responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparing and issuing invoices to Customers in accordance with Company policies and procedures
  • Preparation of weekly debtors reports and assistance with debt collection as required
  • Coding, receipting and reconciliation of company credit cards
  • Entering of invoices into Accounts Payable, including seeking approval for payment where required and confirming bank account details for new Suppliers
  • Other tasks and projects as directed

Job Requirements

  • Studying towards Bachelor's degree in Accounting/ Tax or equivalent
  • Have from 1-2 years experience in Accounts payable/receivable role
  • Experience with accounting software, MYOB Acumatica Advanced ERP (Desirable)
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
  • Well organized, able to meet deadlines and high attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Confident communicating in intermediate English (spoken and written)
  • Confident working with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)

  • Analytical Skills: ability and experience in analyzing issues, updating policy documents, checklists, templates, and procedures. Ability to look at client results and make recommendations.
  • Ensure work is completed to high standards within required deadlines
  • Assisting Accounts team as required
  • Provide high level of customer service to internal and external stakeholders
  • Proactive, hardworking and responsible
  • Willing to learn and to be trained
