Role Overview
We are looking for a Major Account Executive / Cloud Sales Specialist to drive new business acquisition and expand cloud solution adoption within large enterprise accounts. This role focuses on identifying new opportunities, building strong enterprise relationships, and delivering cloud-based solutions that support customers digital transformation initiatives.
This is a hunter profile, focused on new business development and revenue growth, rather than a farming or account maintenance role.
The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams including Sales Engineering, Product, and Marketing to position cloud solutions, develop strategic opportunities, and close high-value enterprise deals.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive new business acquisition by identifying and closing opportunities for cloud solutions within enterprise accounts
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to grow cloud adoption across target organizations
- Build strong relationships with C-level executives, IT leaders, and key decision-makers
- Lead enterprise customer engagements and position cloud solutions that address business and technical needs
- Manage the full sales cycle, including pipeline generation, opportunity qualification, solution positioning, and contract negotiations
- Collaborate with sales engineers and technical teams to design and present tailored cloud solutions
- Work closely with internal stakeholders and partners to expand market reach and accelerate deal closures
- Maintain strong knowledge of cloud technologies, market trends, and competitive landscape
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in enterprise technology or cloud sales
- Proven experience managing Enterprise or Strategic Accounts
- Strong track record in new business acquisition and revenue growth within large enterprise environments
- Experience selling cloud, infrastructure, networking, or platform-based solutions
- Excellent ability to engage with both business and technical stakeholders
- Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills
Preferred Background
- Experience working in industries such as BFSI or other large enterprise environments
- Background with hyperscaler or cloud infrastructure companies such as Cloudflare, F5, AWS, Microsoft, or similar organizations
- Candidates from partner sales organizations selling cloud solutions to enterprise accounts will also be considered
- Strong understanding of enterprise IT environments and cloud adoption strategies
