About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Cloud Engineer with a strong background in AWS infrastructure design, deployment, and operations. The ideal candidate has a solid understanding of AWS core services, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Kubernetes (EKS), and modern cloud automation practices. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable, secure, and cost-efficient cloud environments across multiple AWS accounts.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and manage AWS cloud infrastructure following best practices for scalability, availability, and security.
  • Operate and maintain AWS environments in multi-account setups using AWS Organizations, IAM, and cross-account role management.
  • Deploy, manage, and optimize EKS (Elastic Kubernetes Service) clusters for containerized workloads.
  • Implement infrastructure provisioning and lifecycle management using Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK.
  • Automate configuration management, application deployment, and system updates using Ansible or Chef.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize performance and cost of AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, and VPC networking.
  • Collaborate with developers, DevOps, and security teams to deliver reliable and secure cloud platforms.
  • Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows for cloud resources and Kubernetes clusters.
  • Ensure compliance with security and governance standards across all AWS accounts.
  • Provide technical guidance, documentation, and mentoring to junior engineers when needed.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience managing AWS cloud environments in production.
  • Strong understanding of AWS core services: EC2, VPC, S3, RDS, IAM, EKS, CloudWatch, and Route53.
  • Experience operating EKS clusters and Kubernetes workloads, including deployment, scaling, and troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language (e.g., Python, Go, or Bash).
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK.
  • Familiarity with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Chef).
  • Solid knowledge of Linux system administration and shell scripting.
  • Experience working in multi-account AWS environments using AWS Organizations, Control Tower, or custom account management setups.
  • Good understanding of cloud networking concepts, including VPC, subnets, route tables, and security groups.
  • Strong problem-solving mindset and ability to work independently with high ownership and accountability.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills in English.

Nice to Have

  • AWS certification (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate/Professional, DevOps Engineer, or SysOps Administrator).
  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, OpenTelemetry).
  • Knowledge of CI/CD systems (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI).
  • Exposure to cost optimization, tagging strategies, or FinOps practices.
