Role Summary
We are looking for a Cloud Engineer with a basic understanding of Microsoft Azure and system administration. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their IT career to grow in a hands-on cloud infrastructure environment while receiving guidance from experienced engineers.
Job Responsibilities
- Assisting with the deployment and management of Azure Virtual Machines.
- Monitoring system health using Azure Monitor, responding to alerts, and analyzing logs.
- Supporting backup processes and verifying their success.
- Participating in Windows Server patch management and basic troubleshooting.
- Collaborating with development teams to help resolve infrastructure issues.
- Performing routine performance checks and contributing to disaster recovery drills.
- Learning and applying automation tools like PowerShell and Azure CLI to streamline tasks.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
- Good English communication skills, interpersonal and collaboration skills, strong team working ability.
- At least 1 to 2 years of hands-on experience working with Microsoft Azure services, particularly Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Monitor, Alerts, Backup, and Cost Management.
- Familiarity with Windows Server administration, including patch management and basic performance troubleshooting.
- Ability to monitor system alerts, analyze logs, and assist with backup verification and disaster recovery practices.
- Willingness to learn and use automation tools such as PowerShell or Azure CLI.
- Good communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- A proactive attitude with eagerness to learn cloud technologies and system administration.
- Preferred: Microsoft certifications like AZ-900 or AZ-104, and understanding of ITIL or structured incident/change management processes.
