About the Role
We are looking for a Cloud Engineer to design, build, and operate the Azure cloud infrastructure powering Masan's digital transformation across retail, FMCG, and commerce ecosystems — some of the largest and most complex platforms in Vietnam.
This is an ownership role. You will architect and manage cloud infrastructure, drive automation, and ensure the reliability and scalability of systems running on Azure at scale. You will work at the intersection of cloud architecture and software engineering, with direct impact on how Masan's platforms are built, deployed, and kept resilient.
What You Will Do
Cloud Infrastructure & Architecture
- Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure on Azure, including AKS, Virtual Networks, Azure Storage, Azure SQL, Key Vault, and related services.
- Architect scalable, secure, and cost-efficient cloud solutions aligned with Masan's growth across digital products.
- Define and enforce cloud governance standards, including IAM policies, RBAC, and network security.
- Manage and optimize Azure cost through resource rightsizing, reserved instances, and architecture reviews.
Infrastructure as Code & Automation
- Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Ansible for repeatable, auditable provisioning.
- Turn manual operational work into reliable automation — from self-service infrastructure tooling to automated compliance checks.
- Partner with Backend, DevOps, and Data teams to standardize how services are deployed and operated on Azure.
CI/CD & Platform Engineering
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, ArgoCD, or equivalent) to support continuous delivery.
- Manage containerized workloads on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), including deployment, scaling, and production troubleshooting.
- Contribute to developer tooling and self-service platforms that accelerate engineering teams.
Reliability & Operations
- Ensure system uptime through proactive monitoring, alerting, and defined SLIs/SLOs using Azure Monitor, Prometheus, or Grafana.
- Design and implement Disaster Recovery strategies, including failover, backup, and restore on Azure.
- Participate in incident response, perform root cause analysis, and drive long-term improvements.
- Build and maintain observability stacks covering logging, metrics, and distributed tracing.
Qualifications
- 4–5+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering, DevOps, or Infrastructure Engineering roles.
- Hands-on Azure experience is required — AKS, Azure Networking, IAM/RBAC, Azure Storage, Azure Monitor, and related services.
- Strong proficiency with Kubernetes in production environments (deployment, scaling, troubleshooting).
- Experience with Terraform and Ansible for infrastructure provisioning and configuration management.
- Experience building and operating CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitLab CI, ArgoCD, or equivalent).
- Scripting or development experience in Python, Golang, or Bash for automation and tooling.
- Experience designing and implementing Disaster Recovery strategies (backup/restore, failover).
- Familiarity with observability tools such as Azure Monitor, Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, or ELK/EFK.
Nice to Have
- Azure certifications: AZ-104 (Azure Administrator) or AZ-400 (Azure DevOps Engineer) strongly preferred.
- Experience with multi-region or multi-cloud DR strategies.
- Understanding of container security and Kubernetes network policies.
- Experience operating large-scale platforms in retail, FMCG, or digital commerce environments.
- Familiarity with Azure-native services: Azure Service Bus, Event Hub, Azure Front Door, or Azure Policy.
