1.Teaching & Learning
Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons in Chemistry for Cambridge IGCSE and A Level students.
Use a range of teaching strategies and resources to engage students and promote deep understanding of economic concepts and business theory.
Make real-world connections to course content through case studies, current events, simulations, and project-based learning.
Support students in developing key academic skills including data analysis, evaluation, structured writing, and exam technique.
Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners, including EAL students and those requiring academic extension or support.
Encourage critical thinking, problem-solving, and entrepreneurial mindsets across both subjects.
Assessment & Progress Monitoring
Design and implement assessments that align with Cambridge standards and learning outcomes.
Provide timely and constructive feedback to support student progress and academic growth.
Monitor student performance through both formative and summative assessments, using data to inform instruction and intervention.
Prepare students effectively for internal assessments and Cambridge external examinations.
Enrichment & Extra-Curricular Activities
2.Collaboration & Communication
Collaborate with colleagues within and across departments to support interdisciplinary learning and curriculum coherence.
Contribute to departmental planning, resource development, and moderation processes.
Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress, achievements, and areas for development.
Engage in ongoing professional development to stay updated with changes to the Cambridge curriculum and best practices in business and economics education.
3.Qualifications and Experience
Essential
Bachelors degree in Science, or a related field.
Recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
Minimum of 3 years experience teaching Chemistry at IGCSE and A Level.
Familiarity with Cambridge IGCSE and A Level syllabuses for Chemistry.
Proven ability to prepare students successfully for external examinations.
Desired
Masters degree in Education, or related discipline.
Experience teaching in an international or EAL environment.
Experience as an examiner for Cambridge Assessment International Education.
Ability to contribute to other subject areas (e.g., Global Perspectives, TOK) or leadership of enterprise initiatives.
