Key Responsibilities:
Financial Data Analysis and Budgeting
- Develop and execute financial planning and budgeting strategies.
- Analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide insights to support decision-making.
- Prepare and present financial reports to senior management and stakeholders, including monthly PL and variance analysis
- Monitor financial performance and implement strategies to optimize profitability and efficiency.
- Develop financial models to assess the impact of various business decisions.
- Conduct scenario analysis and sensitivity testing to support strategic planning.
Cash Flow Management:
- Maintain and forecast cash flow to support business operations.
- Optimize working capital and recommend strategies for cash flow improvement including close monitoring of Accounts Receivable and Payable and improving those metrices.
Working with business stakeholders :
- Directly collaborate with business development stakeholders. Help with financial data points that they would require.
- Generate weekly and monthly reports to help them with data linked visibility.
- Team up on certain specific projects for the overall betterment of business
Compliance / Governance aspects :
- Any regular support activities with the controllership-finance team
- Managing audits, work with auditors as needed and implement improvement suggestions from the same.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (MBA/CA/CPA is a plus)
- 5-7 years of experience in financial planning & analysis (FP&A), business finance, or similar roles
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and translate into actionable insights
- Hands-on experience in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Solid understanding of cash flow management, working capital, and financial modeling
- Proficiency in Excel / Google Sheets (advanced formulas, modeling); familiarity with financial tools or ERP systems is a plus
- Ability to work cross-functionally with business teams (Sales, Marketing, Operations) and influence decision-making
- Strong communication skills – able to present financial insights clearly to non-finance stakeholders
- High attention to detail with strong ownership and accountability
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple priorities
Preferred:
- Experience in EdTech / startup / high-growth environment
- Exposure to stakeholder management across regions (VN / TH / India)
- Understanding of revenue-driven business models (B2C sales, pipeline, conversion metrics)
