I. Job Objective
The Business Development Manager (JP) is responsible for expanding the company's Japanese client network through proactive outreach, association engagement, and structured pipeline generation.
This role focuses on:
- Creating qualified business opportunities
- Building strong presence within Japanese business community
- Arranging high-quality meetings for sales conversion
- Generating sustainable new business pipeline
Revenue closing responsibility will be shared with Sales Director/CEO depending on deal size.
II. Key Responsibilities
[Lead Generation & Market Expansion (Primary Responsibility)]
- Identify and approach potential Japanese corporate clients in Vietnam.
- Conduct cold outreach (email, call, LinkedIn, referral).
- Arrange qualified meetings with decision makers (HR/GM/Admin/Director).
- Maintain and grow Japanese client database in CRM.
- Generate minimum 5 qualified new business opportunities per month.
[Japanese Association & Networking Development]
- Actively participate in Japanese business associations (JBAH, JCCI, industry events).
- Attend minimum 2 networking/seminar events per month.
- Build relationships with association committees and key members.
- Develop strategic partnerships with consulting firms, accounting firms, and service providers serving Japanese companies.
[Opportunity Qualification & Handover]
- Conduct initial needs assessment with prospects.
- Qualify leads using clear criteria (budget, timeline, decision maker).
- Coordinate internally for proposal preparation
- Support negotiation process before contract signing.
- Ensure smooth handover to Sales/Operation team.
[Reporting & Pipeline Discipline]
- Maintain pipeline with clear stages (Prospect Qualified Proposal Negotiation).
- Ensure pipeline coverage 2.5x monthly target.
- Submit weekly activity report and monthly pipeline report.
[Global Career Development & Strategic Partnership Support]
- Act as the local promotion lead for the Global Ambassador international career support initiative.
- Collaborate closely with Japan-side stakeholders to support local recruitment and expand employment opportunities in Japan for candidates.
- Coordinate cross-border career programs and facilitate communication between local partners and Japan headquarters.
- Support partnership initiatives with Japanese corporations, including collaboration projects with Takashimaya as part of WMH global service programs.
III. Qualifications and Requirement

- Proven experience in B2B business development
- Strong networking within Japanese business community
- Ability to independently generate qualified meetings
- Structured pipeline management
