Business Development Manager – EdTech Sales (Vietnam)

As we continue to expand our presence across Vietnam, we are looking for a dynamic and results-oriented Business Development Manager to drive growth and strengthen our partner network across the country.

Role Overview

The Business Development Manager (BDM) will be responsible for identifying, onboarding, and managing Recruitment Partners (RPs) to drive student enrollments for the Global Student Program (GSP). The successful candidate will possess strong relationship management skills, commercial acumen, and a proven ability to build and scale high-performing channel partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

Recruitment Partner Acquisition & Onboarding

  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard new Recruitment Partners, including education agents and channel partners.
  • Conduct due diligence, partner assessments, and reference checks.
  • Ensure all partner documentation and compliance requirements are completed and maintained.
  • Build a high-quality partner network aligned with business objectives.

Partner Engagement & Relationship Management

  • Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with Recruitment Partners.
  • Deliver partner training, product updates, and marketing support.
  • Monitor partner performance and enrollment pipelines.
  • Provide strategic guidance to partners to achieve enrollment and revenue targets.

Student Counselling & Application Support

  • Support partners in delivering high-quality student counselling.
  • Assist with application reviews to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
  • Work closely with admissions and operations teams to enhance the student journey.
  • Drive best practices to improve conversion rates and student outcomes.

Market Intelligence & Business Growth

  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and student demand within Vietnam.
  • Provide actionable insights to support business strategy and product positioning.
  • Identify new business opportunities and growth initiatives.
  • Represent upGrad GSP at industry events, partner meetings, and networking opportunities.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Education, or a related discipline.
  • 3–5 years of experience in Business Development, Sales, Account Management, or Partner Management.
  • Prior experience in EdTech, International Education, Student Recruitment, or Higher Education is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated success in achieving sales and revenue targets.
  • Experience managing channel partners, education agents, or recruitment networks is preferred.
  • Willingness to travel across Vietnam as required.
