What the role is:
Some of the key roles include marketing Singapore as a preferred business and leisure destination to Vietnamese travelers and working with travel ecosystem stakeholders. This role looks at relationships with the travel trade in Vietnam, Thailand, and Singapore to grow new business with the travel trade industry and drive conversions in meetings and incentives. The incumbent may also be assigned projects in other areas of tourism promotion for career development.
Main responsibilities: Business and Channel Development
Sales calls and presentations to trade partners in Vietnam and Thailand
Deliver annual MICE targets via business development and facilitation, including paperwork and admin support
Place MICE bids for groups
For successful MICE groups, assist client with MICE paperwork and applications and assist the clients in all areas
Work closely with tourism and non-tourism partners (in Vietnam, Thailand, and Singapore) such as airlines, travel agents, travel booking platforms, etc. in marketing and promoting Singapore as a preferred travel destination. Other projects
Lead and drive partnerships with brands and/or non-travel partners in driving travel consideration and conversions.
Lead marketing campaigns
Other projects may be assigned from time to time.
Job requirements:
A bachelor's degree from a recognized university, preferably in a business-related field
At least 5 years of experience in business development and partnerships
Experience in outbound travel/hospitality and marketing is a plus
Regular travel within Vietnam and to Thailand is required.
Able to demonstrate core competencies of achieving results with others, analytical thinking, business acumen, project management, stakeholder management & relationship building, results orientation
