Levanta Renewables is a renewable energy developer and independent power producer in Southeast Asia. We develop, build and deliver renewable energy solutions that work for each country in support of its transition to renewable energy, and do so in a sustainable manner while helping local communities. With a shared goal towards helping Southeast Asia realize its energy transition and net zero targets, Levanta is backed by Actis, a leading sustainable infrastructure private equity firm. We are developing 1.5 GW of renewable energy projects in Southeast Asia through M&A and greenfield development of C&I and utility scale projects.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team and drive growth in the Commercial and Industrial (C&I) solar sector. As a Business Development Manager, you will lead company's solar-as-a-service offering in Vietnam which will include lead generation (direct and through partnerships), offer generation, negotiation and contract closing with multiple industrial and commercial target segments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct market research to identify potential customers that fit the company's criteria.
  • Generate leads and build a robust pipeline based on strategic fit and profitability.
  • Develop and nurture relationships with key clients, stakeholders, and decision-makers.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their solar energy needs and tailor solutions accordingly.
  • Support company-organized events and seminars with audiences of potential target customers
  • Participate in trade events with a view to networking and generating leads.
  • Prepare proposals, presentations, and bids for potential customers.
  • Engage with customers to address their inquiries and concerns effectively.
  • Be an active participant with other colleagues in long-term agreement negotiations.
  • Support engineering and project teams where required to ensure project success.
  • Be an active player in the regional BD team by sharing feedback, intelligence and contributing to continuous improvements.
  • Maintain customer and project records in the company's CRM tool.
  • Support existing customers to ensure customer satisfaction.

Ideal candidate should possess

  • 5 + years experience in Business-to-Business sales with a solar PV developer or EPC company.
  • Excellent communication skills (written, speaking, and presentation) in English and Vietnamese. Can communicate complex and difficult messages in a clear manner.
  • Experience in reaching target customers through direct outreach methods such as cold calling.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills in a sales context.
  • Good analytical and sales management skills.
  • Candidates must be able to work independently and efficiently under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work in a flexible, fast-paced, high-growth working environment.
  • Energy, drive, and resilience are associated with long sales cycles.
  • Ability to relate to multiple functions, roles, and seniority levels in customer organizations from facility management, engineering, procurement, and also MD/GM levels.
  • Demonstrated track record and networks in relevant industries.
  • Solid ability to understand, convey, discuss, and argue key contractual aspects of commercial agreements.
