Role Overview

Launch JDI is looking for a driven and hungry Business Development Executive to join our Vietnam team. This is a hands-on role for someone early in their career who is ready to go beyond the basics - someone with strong instincts, a natural ability to build relationships, and the hunger to learn fast in a real commercial environment.

You will work directly alongside our Sales & Account Manager to execute in-market business development for our clients - B2B tech companies entering Vietnam. From lead generation and stakeholder outreach to business matching and market research, you will be involved in the full BD cycle.

You won't be left to figure it out alone. We will work through engagements together, guide your thinking, and build your capability as we go. What we expect from day one is attitude, initiative, and the willingness to be stretched.

Responsibilities

● Client Onboarding and Product Training. Learn each client's product, target customer, sales process, and pricing model before going to market. Contribute to aligning on target segments and refining positioning ahead of outreach.

● Market Research. Research the industry landscape, market trends, and competitive environment for each client engagement. Share findings regularly to keep outreach informed and preparation sharp.

● Lead Generation. Reach out to senior decision-makers across cold and warm contacts via LinkedIn, Zalo, phone, in-person channels, etc.. Build and maintain an active outreach pipeline.

● Lead Qualification and Nurturing. Assess leads based on challenge fit, decision-making authority, budget, and timeline. Progress leads from initial contact through to sales-ready opportunity through consistent, contextual follow-up.

● Business Matching and Deal Facilitation. Support the arrangement and facilitation of 1-1 business matching meetings between clients and qualified prospects. Assist with pre-meeting preparation, in-meeting facilitation including translation support where needed, and post-meeting follow-up.

● Proposal Support. Assist in scoping and drafting Vietnam-specific components of client

proposals. Over time, take on greater ownership of proposal development with guidance.

● Event Support. Identify and reach out to relevant stakeholders for client-facing seminars, workshops, and networking events based on event objectives and target profile. Attend events to represent Launch JDI and its clients, engage prospects, and drive meaningful connections on the ground.

● Reporting and GTM Review. Contribute to business development reports at project milestones covering market insights, pipeline status, meeting outcomes, and recommendations.

● Partnership and Channel Identification. Keep an eye out for potential local partners, agents, and distribution channels in Vietnam that Launch JDI can leverage for current and future client engagements.

● Ecosystem and Stakeholder Relationships. Continuously build relationships with key decision-makers, industry players, and community connectors across Vietnam - beyond any single client engagement. This network is a long-term asset for both you and Launch JDI.

● Commercial Referrals. Where your network surfaces companies that could benefit from Launch JDI's market expansion services, flag these to the Sales & Account Manager with relevant context.

● Market Intelligence. Develop and maintain a strong understanding of Vietnam's business landscape - industry movements, emerging sectors, key players, and market shifts. Share observations and insights regularly to sharpen Launch JDI's in-market knowledge and keep client engagements grounded in current market reality.

● CRM Discipline. Keep CRM records updated across all active engagements and stakeholder relationships - lead source, pipeline status, and next steps, always current.

Requirements

● Minimum 2 years of experience in B2B sales, business development, or a client-facing commercial role.

● Genuine hunger to build a career in business development. You want to be in the field, not behind a desk.

● Strong communication and interpersonal skills. You can hold a room and build trust quickly.

● A growing network within Vietnam's business community, or a clear track record of building relationships from scratch.

● Native in Vietnamese. Proficient in English across reading, writing, and verbal communication - with the ability to engage confidently in a professional business context.

● Comfortable with ambiguity and able to take initiative without waiting to be told what to do next.

● Organised and disciplined. You follow up, you update your records, you don't let things fall through the cracks.

● Genuine interest in tech, innovation, and the startup ecosystem in Southeast Asia.

● Experience in B2B tech, market entry, or a regional business environment is a strong advantage.
