Design and build high-performance backend services and distributed systems that power personalized vouchers, promotions, and campaign experiences across Shopee's key product surfaces.
Partner closely with Product, Business, Data Science, Ads, Search, and Recommendation teams to translate marketplace growth opportunities into reliable, scalable, and production-ready engineering solutions.
Productionize machine learning and optimization capabilities by integrating model serving, experimentation, and decisioning logic into low-latency online systems.
Apply advanced AI technologies, including LLMs, and AI agents, to improve the efficiency, quality, and automation of e-commerce campaign operations.
Develop core capabilities for personalized recommendations, promotion and voucher optimization, campaign budget planning, and product demand forecasting.
Ensure production reliability through resilient API design, caching, asynchronous processing, graceful degradation, observability, and continuous performance optimization.
Requirements:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, operating systems, computer networks, and computer systems.
Strong programming skills in Go and/or Python, with familiarity with Linux development environments.
Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
Interest in distributed systems, high-concurrency architectures, microservices, and scalable backend design.
Self-motivated, eager to learn, and driven to solve challenging technical problems with measurable business impact.
(Good-to-have) Experience or coursework in backend frameworks, distributed data processing, recommender systems, search or ads systems, machine learning platforms.
