We are looking for a highly skilled Lead Engineer to join our Attribute Problem Solving Team, leading cross-functional efforts to identify and resolve complex, multi-attribute vehicle performance issues. This role requires strong technical breadth, structured problem-solving expertise, and the ability to drive fast, data-driven resolutions across NVH, dynamics, durability, thermal, electrical, and more.
Job Description
- Act as a technical leader within the L0 problem-solving team, addressing multi-attribute vehicle performance issues comprehensively and efficiently.
- Lead and direct cross-functional and cross-attribute teams in the identification, investigation, and resolution of complex engineering problems.
- Facilitate rapid issue diagnosis and root-cause analysis using structured methodologies (DFMEA, DVP, 8D, 5Y, DFSS, FTA, Fish Bone).
- Provide holistic technical assessments, recommendations, and actionable solutions, clearly communicating results to stakeholders and management.
- Support the continuous improvement of attribute integration, test procedures, and validation practices.
- Regularly update and report on problem-solving status, risks, and resolutions, ensuring alignment across attributes and functions.
- Remain current with emerging technologies, testing methods, and industry standards relevant to automotive attribute integration and problem-solving.
Requirements
Degree/Qualification:
- Bachelor's degree or above in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
- Minimum 7 years of automotive engineering experience, specifically focusing on multiple vehicle attributes.
- Fluent in English (speaking, reading, writing).
Experience
- Comprehensive technical understanding and hands-on experience across multiple automotive attributes such as NVH, Vehicle Dynamics, Durability, Safety, Electrical, Thermal, Efficiency, and Perceived Quality.
- Demonstrated capability to perform holistic evaluations and analyses, integrating insights from multiple vehicle attributes to drive problem resolution.
- Proven ability to lead and direct cross-functional teams in rapidly identifying, diagnosing, and resolving complex, multi-attribute issues.
- Strong background in automotive problem-solving methodologies, root-cause analysis, and performance optimization.
- Experience in utilizing advanced diagnostic and analysis tools relevant to automotive attribute testing and validation.
- Demonstrated capacity to communicate clearly and effectively with stakeholders, attribute managers, and cross-functional teams.
