The Assistant Manager (AM), Product Development (PD) will be responsible for managing the implementation of new products into the system and ensuring new products are implemented correctly and smoothly, in accordance with product design, product pricing, and product operational rules.

The AM, PD will also be responsible for designing and implementing Operational rules in a way that best meets the needs for product design and optimize system efforts while still meeting customer needs.

The AM, PD will also advise the Product proposition team whether a product feature is technologically constrained and recommend another feature that both meet the requirement of product proposition and requirements of the system.

THE JOB:

  • Drive the end-to-end implementation for assigned product initiatives and enhancements
  • Design product operational rules (OP Specs) in a way that best meets the needs for product design and optimizes system efforts while still meeting customer needs.
  • Responsible for ensuring all user requirements from all stakeholders align with product rules and set all the product rules on various systems.
  • Responsible to prepare product user requirements, test scenarios and conduct the user acceptance test (UAT) to ensure features are met expected outcomes.
  • Responsible to manage Day-1 items, and ensure products are launched with a clear checklist of all necessary requirements for launch.
  • Drive and follow up to implementation of Day-2 items to ensure systems are developed in timely manager.
  • Design product operational rules in a way that best meets the needs for product design and optimize system efforts while still meeting customer needs.
  • Review and optimize all steps during the product implementation process
  • Review all product-related documents, including Terms and Conditions, Sales illustration, Operation Specs, etc.
  • Other tasks as assigned by the line manager.

THE PERSON:

  • University Degree in Business/ Economics/ Finances/ Mathematics/ IT/ Engineering.
  • At least 5 years of working experience in product development, and product implementation for the financial service industry or manufacturing / engineering
  • An excellent communicator, both verbally and in writing.
  • Fluently speaking and writing English and Vietnamese.
  • Good analytical skills - the ability to work with numbers, and facts effectively.
  • Good organization and time/project management.
  • Good writing and presentation skills.
  • Systems and analytical thinking
  • Independent problem-solving strong ability to run, read and understand data.
  • Good understanding of life insurance operational and technical areas is an advantage.
  • Innovative and willing to explore new things.
  • Able to work well with a wide range of people from different parts of the business.
  • Energetic and passionate about their product specialty.
  • Able to work well under pressure
  • Have a customer focused mind-set
