1) Process Design & Standardization (End-to-End WH)
- Analyze current WH workflows to identify process gaps, constraints, and inefficiencies across key functions: Inbound, Put-away, Storage, Replenishment, Picking, Packing, Outbound,Dispatch, and Returns / Rework (if applicable).
- Design, document, and deploy SOPs / Work Instructions / Standard Work (including role-based standards for FLM/GL, operators).
- Lead pilot runs, process validation, and rollout governance for new initiatives (e.g., flow-pick, dynamic wave, slotting, pre-pack/cache, QC gates, layout changes, automation integration).
- Facilitate both executive-level and working-level meetings ensure structured documentation (minutes, action log, RAID log) and owner-based follow-up.
2) WH Performance Management & Continuous Improvement (CI)
- Define and implement KPI frameworks and key driver trees for WH performance (inputs, process, outcomes), e.g.:
- Productivity: UPH/LPH, item/hour, lines/hour, utilization, idle time
- Service/Speed: SDH/On-time, lead time by stage, backlog health
- Quality: defect rate, mispick/mispack, rework rate, compliance
- Inventory: inventory accuracy, cycle count effectiveness, loss/shrink indicators
- Consolidate insights into regular project health dashboards and weekly/monthly performance reviews for leadership.
- Drive data-driven improvement using time study, motion study, capacity modeling, volume forecast, and bottleneck analysis.
- Build CI culture on the floor: standard problem solving (e.g., 5-Why, fishbone, Pareto, control plan), idea-sharing, and ownership mindset.
3) Project Management for WH Initiatives
- Drive project excellence by embedding project management standards, tools, and governance across WH initiatives: Scope, milestones, dependencies, risk management, change management, and benefit tracking.
- Lead cross-functional programs on:Capacity & Productivity Optimization: labor efficiency, layout optimization, slotting strategy, pick path optimization, replenishment design, automation readiness.Cost & Efficiency: reduce touchpoints, reduce rework, improve packing efficiency, improve resource planning.Inventory & Compliance: strengthen cycle count policy execution, accuracy control points, and exception management.
- Ensure post-implementation tracking: adoption, KPI movement, and sustainability plan.
