Job Description
- Assist the HSSE Manager in implementing, monitoring, and ensuring compliance with Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) regulations across projects.
- Manage and oversee HSSE activities for 23 projects within the same region, ensuring compliance with internal standards and legal requirements.
- Conduct of risk assessments, incident investigations, and propose preventive measures.
- Inspect and approve safety conditions before issuing work permits for high-risk activities (lifting, electrical work, working at height, excavation, etc.).
- Train and guide employees and contractors on HSSE requirements.
- Prepare periodic reports for the HSSE Manager and recommend improvements to safety processes.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to implement programs that enhance safety culture.
- Manage HSSE-related documentation, including permits-to-works, statutory or Sembcorp required compliance certificates, and periodic reports.
- Participate in emergency response planning, fire drills, and other emergency scenarios.
- Propose safety improvement programs to raise awareness and strengthen safety culture throughout the project.
- Inspect and monitor subcontractors to ensure compliance with the Owner's HSSE requirements and legal regulations.
- Conduct regular and ad-hoc site inspections and audits, providing recommendations for improvement when violations are detected.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Engineering, Construction, or related fields.
- Possessing 812 years of experience working in construction, industrial environments, or EPC projects.
- Ability to manage and coordinate HSSE teams on-site.
- Proficient in risk assessment, incident investigation, and detailed reporting.
- Strong communication, leadership, and training skills.
- ISO 45001 Auditor certification.
- Good knowledge of Vietnamese legal regulations and international HSSE standards.
- Proficient in MS Office and capable of preparing detailed reports.
- Training certificates such as lifting operations, scaffolding, WAH etc.
- Willing to travel for work.
