Job Description

  • Job Title: Assistant Brand Manager
  • Job Holder: Premium/Super Premium Brands (Budweiser & Hoegaarden)
  • Reporting to: Brand Associate Director

Purpose of the job

As Assistant Brand Manager for Premium & Super Premium Brands, you will be a key driver of brand growth, cultural relevance, and consumer connection. You will support and lead initiatives that elevate Budweiser and Hoegaarden in Vietnam, ensuring strong business performance while shaping the future of premium beer in the market. This is a fast-track role designed for an exceptional individual eager to take ownership and unlock brand magic at scale.

Strategic Management:

  • Develop and execute brand plans and consumer engagement strategies that deliver on volume, brand health, and equity KPIs.
  • Identify emerging market trends, cultural moments, and competitive dynamics to develop actionable insights and strategic recommendations.
  • Actively participate in brand visioning and long-term growth strategy discussions.

Performance Management

  • Implement, monitor, and evaluate campaign and activation performance with a clear ROI mindset.
  • Act as a brand guardian, ensuring full alignment with global and local brand guidelines.
  • Lead ongoing performance tracking across topline KPIs, brand health, and executional excellence.

Business environment

Main characteristics:

  • Oversee business long-term growth strategy, brand plan and consumers activities
  • Drive top-line growth by coordinating with commercial team
  • Manages the Business Cycle planning and Routine for Budweiser

Key contacts:

  • Internal: Insight & Innovation Manager, Connections Manager, Commercial Team, Planning and Performance Manager, Trade Marketing Team, Supply and NPD at the Brewery
  • External: Lead Creative Agency, Activation Agencies, Media Agencies, Partners, American Embassy and Association

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and continuous refinement of brand manifesto and guideline documents, ensuring alignment with global brand strategy.
  • Manage the brand calendar and deliver high-impact consumer engagement activations and campaigns.
  • Co-develop media and connections strategy with the Connections Manager, maximizing digital and offline ROI.
  • Own the creation and execution of branded content, including TVCs, digital assets, campaign visuals, and social content (both local and global adaptation).
  • Monitor consumer and brand-related trends across media platforms and respond with agility to protect and grow brand reputation.
  • Review and approve visual assets and brand materials across marketing, trade, and packaging touchpoints.
  • Provide brand onboarding and training for Brand Promotion Ambassadors (BPAs) and internal stakeholders.
  • Lead partner and agency collaboration to ensure seamless premium POC and event experiences.
  • Execute high-impact brand events, from concept through to execution and measurement.
  • Drive monthly marketing reviews through performance reporting and commercial linkage.

Requirements

  • University degree in business oriented applied sciences (marketing, business)
  • Result oriented with respect for quality, costs, timing
  • Ability to communicate with cross functional team
  • Critical thinking, ability to challenge & ability to summarize & prioritize
  • Speed, flexibility, sense of urgency; ability to react to demands and stick to deadlines
  • Able to operate inside a highly non-routine and high-risk development environment
  • Previous sales or trade marketing experience is a plus
  • Fluent English (written & spoken)
