Description

1-Oversee all acoustic/audio-related aspects of projects (TWS, Headphone, smart speaker, etc.) throughout the entire life cycle.

2-Develop competitive acoustic/audio designs with detailed presentations during the RFI/RFP phase to support project Design Win.

3-Evaluate acoustic/audio risks through simulation, prototyping, etc., identifying and resolving design bugs.

4-Formulate a comprehensive DoE & Validation Strategy to proactively identify problems, particularly at the component and system levels, or cross-functionally.

5-Create inline/offline test plans with a well-defined test policy and coverage for each build, collaborating with vendors to finalize test station DFM.

6-Assist vendors in addressing issues during test system development, buyoff, and maintenance.

7-Provide timely, high-quality troubleshooting results with verified root causes to resolve issues from FATP, REL, SMT, etc.

8-Ensure corrective actions are verified and implemented correctly. Timely data processing, high-quality reporting, and meetings are crucial.

9-Drive acoustic yield improvement and address other required acoustic tasks during builds.

Perform necessary uplink/downlink acoustic/audio performance tuning and optimization during each build to meet design targets.

10-Stay abreast of industry audio technology/product development trends and conduct pre-studies on selected cutting-edge technologies to maintain a technological advantage over competitors.

11-Prepare postmortems after each build, including lessons learned, checklists, SOPs, flowcharts, and update acoustic field processes.

Qualifications

1-Bachelors or Masters degree in Acoustics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or a related field

2-Minimum of 1 year of experience in acoustic/audio-related work, encompassing design and failure analysis of electro-acoustic components (micro-speakers, microphones, hydrophones, etc.), as well as design and failure analysis experience with acoustic products (smart speakers, TWS, headphones, watches, mobile phones, pads, laptops, AR/VR/MR, etc.). Additional experience in acoustic/audio testing or related industry experience is welcomed.

3-Proficiency in English is mandatory.

4-Proficiency in Chinese is an added advantage.

5-Proficient in Microsoft Office for daily tasks, including reporting and data processing

6-Proficient in Golden Ear is advantageous; experience in sound quality development/tuning is a bonus.

7-Fundamental knowledge of electro-acoustic theory and simulation, ideally with experience on tools like LEAP, COMSOL, MICROCAP, Abaqus, etc.

8-Desirable skills include handling big data processing with tools like JMP, Python, MATLAB, etc

9-Preferably holds an overseas educational background.

10-Preferably possesses hands-on skills with software and systems like Soundcheck, Audio Precision, Klippel, ACQUA, etc.

11-Confidence, proactiveness, teamwork, and effective communication skills are expected. A positive mindset, result-oriented approach, and a commitment to driving innovation and excellence are crucial.

12-Experience in audio algorithm development/tuning is beneficial.

13-Cross-functional development/tuning experience, whether in audio EE or audio software, is beneficial.

14-Preferably with experience on working with tier-one industry companies (Bose, Huawei, Apple, Amazon, Google, etc.).
