- Identify and begin automating key workflows targeting automation of recurring journal entries, consolidation, payment tracking, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- Build and maintain a structured knowledge base, including documented processes, close checklists, payment workflows, consolidation workbooks, recurring calendars, and external contact lists.
- Use AI and workflow tools to reduce manual follow-up, improve close speed, and reduce dependency on individual memory.
Controls & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with US GAAP, IFRS for Group consolidation, and applicable local regulations in each entity.
- Support statutory filings, audit responses, bank relationships, tax positions, payroll-related finance inputs, and corporate secretarial coordination.
- Ensure all payment, banking, close, audit, and reporting processes have proper documentation, approval evidence, and audit trail.
- Escalate accounting, payment, tax, audit, and compliance risks early, with clear owner, deadline, and proposed resolution.
What We're Looking For
- 8+ years of total accounting experience across accounting operations, month-end close, consolidation, audit support, and multi-entity finance. Big 4 background is preferred but not required if the candidate has strong hands-on operating experience.
- Demonstrated ability to own month-end close and recurring accounting operations end-to-end, including journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, intercompany, FX, and reporting schedules.
- Strong experience with payment operations, banking workflows, vendor payments, approval processes, supporting documentation, and audit trail requirements.
- Experience working with outsourced service providers, auditors, tax advisors, banks, corporate secretary, and cross-border internal finance teams.
- Strong technical accounting fundamentals — able to independently handle complex issues such as revenue recognition, intercompany, FX, accruals, consolidation, and statutory-to-management reporting differences.
- Strong process discipline: able to build close checklists, payment trackers, recurring calendars, SOPs, file maps, and control documentation from scratch.
- High comfort with AI and automation tools. Must be willing to automate recurring accounting, payment, close, reconciliation, and reporting workflows.
- Excellent written and spoken English — daily interaction with US stakeholders, auditors, outsourced providers, and cross-border teams.
NIice To Have
- Familiarity with US GAAP and Singapore statutory requirements is preferred. For strong candidates who do not yet have this experience, the company is willing to invest in structured training to build this capability.
- CPA, ACCA, CPA Australia, or equivalent qualification (or actively working toward one).
- Prior experience at a fintech, lending, collections, SaaS, or technology company.
- Experience coordinating cross-border accounting teams.
- Familiarity with SAP Business One, including its consolidation module, is preferred.
