Job Purpose
- Organize, oversee, and optimize general accounting operations, expenditures, and data accuracy through robust accounting workflows, ensuring the company's financial framework complies with applicable accounting standards and state regulations.
- Prepare and ensure the accuracy of periodic financial statements in accordance with statutory requirements and the Group's financial regulations.
Key Responsibilities
1. General Accounting & Financial Control
- Supervise financial transactions, expenditures, and accounting workflows to ensure data integrity and full compliance with statutory laws and accounting standards.
- Take ultimate ownership of financial data, from sub-ledgers to the general ledger (GL) for PNJ, as well as the Group's consolidated financial data.
- Reconcile book balances against physical inventory counts; perform year-end asset revaluations and accurately reflect inventory adjustment results in the accounting ledgers.
- Oversee product costing and product-costing journal entries.
2. Financial Reporting & IFRS Conversion
- Formulate plans to audit, review, and control financial closing reports across subsidiaries, the parent company, and member entities.
- Analyze and provide consolidated financial statements and data-driven insights for the entire organization.
- Review, execute, and manage the conversion of financial statements from VAS to IFRS.
- Design and implement systematic workflows for IFRS reporting on the company's ERP system.
- Manage the printing and archiving of the company's subsidiary ledgers and general ledgers.
3. Professional Training & Team Capability Building
- Plan, delegate, monitor, and evaluate the performance and tasks of team members.
- Train, mentor, and elevate the technical capabilities of the team while fostering strong employee engagement.
- Develop training programs to guide the organization on new accounting regimes, workflows, and updated state regulations.
- Formulate, revise, and roll out standardized accounting policies and procedures to meet corporate governance and financial management requirements.
- Execute other tasks as assigned by line management.
Job Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, or related fields.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in Finance and Accounting, with at least 5 years in an equivalent managerial capacity within MNCs, listed companies, or large-scale corporate groups.
- Hands-on experience in converting financial statements from VAS to IFRS (demonstrating deep understanding of major variances, adjustment entries, asset/liability measurement models, and IFRS presentation requirements).
Technical Knowledge
- Robust knowledge of financial accounting, management accounting, and auditing, with deep expertise in Vietnamese Accounting Standards (VAS) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Proficient in financial statement consolidation, including the treatment of intercompany transactions, investments, goodwill, and eliminations.
- Strong understanding of internal control systems, internal audit principles, and financial operations within a multi-entity corporate group.
- Up-to-date knowledge of state laws, tax regulations, and government policies governing corporate accounting.
- Preferred: Professional certifications such as ACCA, CPA, or completed advanced IFRS certifications.

- Data Analytics: Advanced capacity to analyze and process complex financial data from multiple sources and entities.
- Reporting: Proven track record of delivering accurate, clear, and professional financial statements (in both Vietnamese and English).
- Policy Formulation: Strong capability in drafting clear, concise, and structured accounting policies, operational guidelines, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Leadership & Execution: Solid planning, organizational, and team management skills, with the ability to guide and implement new policies smoothly.
- Technology & Systems: Proficient in ERP systems (SAP preferred) and accounting software. Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, Power Query; VBA is a distinct advantage).
- Soft Skills: Strong communication, complex problem-solving, risk management, and timely decision-making capabilities.
- Mindset: Highly accountable, honest, legally compliant, proactive in continuous learning, and collaborative with a strong team-oriented spirit.
