The Role
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented WordPress Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, customizing, maintaining, and optimizing WordPress websites, existing websites to ensure strong performance, responsiveness, security, and user experience.
This role requires a good understanding of WordPress architecture, themes, plugins, front-end technologies, and website performance optimization.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, customize, and maintain existing/WordPress websites based on business requirements.
- Build and modify WordPress themes and plugins when needed.
- Convert designs from Figma, PSD, or other design tools into responsive WordPress pages.
- Customize existing themes and plugins to match project requirements.
- Ensure websites are responsive across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
- Optimize website speed, performance, SEO structure, and overall user experience.
- Troubleshoot and fix website issues, bugs, layout problems, plugin conflicts, and security vulnerabilities.
- Manage website updates, backups, migration, hosting configuration, and deployment.
- Work closely with designers, content creators, SEO specialists, and other team members to deliver high-quality websites.
- Maintain clean, reusable, and well-documented code.
- Ensure websites follow best practices for security, accessibility, and performance.
- Support ongoing website maintenance, landing page creation, and content updates when required.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field is preferred
- Proven experience as a WordPress Developer or similar role.
- Nice to have technical SEO audit using Semrush SEO analytics tool.
- Strong knowledge of WordPress CMS, themes, plugins, custom post types, taxonomies, and page builders.
- Good command of English (both written and verbal)
